The FISH Femoral Introducer Sheath & Hemostasis Device utilizes a sleeve of extracellular matrix (ECM) which is premounted on an introducer sheath. It serves as a closure mechanism. Only one sheath, which acts as both an introducer and a closure device, is placed with this approach. The FISH matrix is remodeled into native arterial wall tissue, not scar tissue. This allows easy re-access during future procedures.
